10000+ Lumen Fenix Lights
This page is the territory of Fenix's LR series, the searchlights built to turn a dark field, shoreline or ravine into something you can actually search. Outputs start at 10,000 lumens and climb to 21,000 on the LR60R. They are tools for search and rescue teams, rural fire crews and owners of large properties, and they come with real size, weight and heat trade-offs worth understanding first. The long-range category has more context.
Battery packs, weight and heat
Lumens this high need serious power. The LR60R uses a 14.4V battery pack and weighs 1,500 grams, and the LR50R V2.0 runs on a 32,000mAh battery stick at about 1,150 grams, which is why both include a shoulder strap. The LR40R V2.0 uses a built-in 15,000mAh pack. Peak output generates heat fast, so turbo is a short burst before the light steps down. Plan on using the high and medium modes for long searches.
Choosing within the LR series
Not every LR light is a heavy searchlight. The LR35R and LR35R PRO deliver 10,000 lumens from two 21700 cells, at 369 and 457 grams, and ride in an included holster. The LR36R pairs a white laser with a floodlight to reach 1,260 metres, the longest throw here. Availability varies on lights this size, so check the product page for shipping or pickup details before you plan around a date. If your nights do not call for this much light, the 3000–9999 lumen range offers lighter options.

Frequently asked questions
- Who actually needs a 10,000-lumen flashlight?
- Mostly people who search large areas at night: search and rescue volunteers, rural fire and emergency crews, farm and acreage owners checking livestock or fence lines, and cottagers scanning a shoreline. For walking the dog or finding something in the garage, a light in the 1,500 to 3,000 lumen range is easier to carry and much lighter.
- Why do the LR lights step down from turbo?
- Producing 10,000 lumens or more creates a lot of heat in a small head. To protect the LEDs and the battery, the light automatically reduces output after a short time on turbo. That is normal. For long searches, the high and medium modes give a more sustainable balance of brightness and runtime, which you can check in each product's mode table.
- Which LR model reaches the farthest?
- The LR36R, rated at 1,260 metres, because it combines a white laser beam projector with a floodlight. The LR60R follows at 1,085 metres, then the LR40R V2.0 at 900 metres and the LR50R V2.0 at 846 metres. The LR35R and LR35R PRO are rated at 500 metres and trade some reach for a much wider flood around you.
- How heavy are these searchlights?
- Weight ranges widely. The LR35R is 369 grams and the LR35R PRO 457 grams, both with batteries, so they work as large handheld lights. The LR40R V2.0 is about 843 grams, while the LR50R V2.0 is about 1,150 grams and the LR60R 1,500 grams, which is why the two larger models include a shoulder strap.
