Fenix Multi-Color/RGB Lights
Multi-Color/RGB lights add colored output to a regular white beam, and they fall into two camps. Some use color as a working tool, with strong green, red or blue beams for signalling and marking. Others add a ring or panel of RGB effects for campsite atmosphere and emergency flashing. This short list mixes flashlights, a headlamp and lanterns, so read what the color is for on each one. For red only, see red light models.
Color as a working beam
The HT32R runs six separate Osram LEDs for red, green and blue, with green reaching 650 lumens on its own. A toggle switch sets white, color or lockout by feel before the light even comes on, so you are not cycling through modes in the dark. The LD36R takes a different approach: five white levels plus six named colors, from arctic green to sunset orange, and a stepless color mode, all in a 3,600-lumen body with a tripod socket and an included diffuser tip. Both are full-size flashlights first, with color as a serious extra.
Scene lighting and signalling
On lanterns and small lights, RGB is a secondary effect. The CL20R PRO lantern adds scene modes such as RGB chase, RGB flow and stepless RGB, which turn a dock or campsite into a pleasant place to sit after dark, and it even switches itself on as you approach. The compact EDC lights on this page use a light ring for red, blue and RGB flashing next to the main beam. Our cottage lighting kit shows how lanterns fit in, and the full lantern range has more.

Frequently asked questions
- Is a Multi-Color/RGB light just a novelty?
- Not always. On the HT32R and LD36R, the colored output comes from dedicated LEDs at useful power, for signalling and marking at a distance. On lanterns and small lights the RGB effects are mainly for atmosphere and emergency flashing. Decide which you need, then choose the format that matches.
- Can I pick an exact color?
- On some models. The LD36R has six preset colors plus a stepless mode, so you can dial in a shade, and the CL20R PRO offers stepless RGB in its scene mode. The HT32R gives you fixed red, green and blue beams. The smaller EDC lights on this page use preset effects rather than a free choice of color.
- Is there a Multi-Color/RGB headlamp?
- Yes, the HL17R. It is a 65-gram headlamp with read, aurora, red, RGB and red and blue flash modes, plus a magnetic quick-release so you can lift it off the strap and stick it to a metal surface. It suits camping and evening walks more than heavy work.
