Fenix UV Flashlights
A UV flashlight makes certain materials glow so you can see what plain white light misses: security features on bank notes and ID, UV dye in a leaking refrigerant or engine system, fluorescent marks and stains. The lights here pair a UV source, 365nm on most models, with a normal white beam, so one tool covers the inspection and the walk back to the truck. It is a short, focused list, mostly EDC, clip-on and duty flashlights.
Small inspection lights
For everyday checks, the flat E06R Pro carries a 365nm UV light alongside its 1,600-lumen white beam and a red laser, each on separate controls, and slides easily into a pocket. The SW05R-UV and SW06R are clip-on lights with a 200-degree adjustable head and a magnetic tail, so you can stick one to a door frame or panel and aim the UV hands-free while you work. That makes them practical for cash checks at the till, document verification and close inspection. More small carry options are under EDC lights.
UV for the shop and the job site
For trades, the WF25RM pairs a 3,000-lumen white beam with a 365nm UV channel that Fenix rates for non-destructive testing and leak testing, and it lives on a magnetic charging cradle that mounts to a bench or wall. HVAC and automotive techs use UV dye to trace leaks; inspectors use it to spot fluorescent penetrant. A few full-size duty lights on this page add a UV mode too. Frequently asked questions
- What does 365nm mean, and why does it matter?
- It is the wavelength of the UV light. A 365nm source sits further into the ultraviolet than the many inexpensive 395nm lights on the market, so it shows less visible purple glow and makes fluorescence stand out more clearly. That cleaner contrast is why 365nm is preferred for document checks, leak detection and inspection.
- Is it safe to use a UV flashlight?
- Treat it with care. Never look into the UV beam or shine it into anyone's eyes, including pets, and keep it away from children. Use it in short bursts on the surface you are inspecting. These lights are inspection tools; they are not designed or sold for disinfection or any health purpose.
- Can a UV flashlight also be my everyday light?
- Yes, every light on this page has a regular white beam as well. The E06R Pro is the easiest to carry daily, with 1,600 lumens of white light in a flat body. If UV is only an occasional need, a small clip-on such as the SW05R-UV can ride alongside the EDC light you already own.
